my friend Mellissa established her first first ascent today. Mel's Diner 5.9 at the 2nd Quarry...palming a steep arête with feet on small crystals, 6 bolts. It was her third lead ever! She's badass just ask her.

yeah I hope to sneak in a lot more, no pics sorry. the new route is good between ditch water and frank & beans. supplies an easier way to top rope that face. gets some sun w/ comfy base. cool project on the right check it out. my friend was so excited! theres a new monster on 5n06

cool, yeah, afternoons out there are really nice when it's cool temps.

does it have a name yet? I can add it to the route list, or if you register, you can post it up. I think I fixed the registration process so it's easy to do again (but I don't get spambotted in the process)...

We climbed Yosemite yesterday in T-shirts. I interacted with only two other people all day, the ranger at the gate and the ranger at the gate. The Widows Tears appeared to be "in". Lis has pics.
