Seriously does anybody use stuff like this anymore? If you live in the SF Bay area and want it, I can leave it out on my porch for you to pick up.

I would love to make those threads my climbing uniform. Proud.
I wouldn't love it enough to drive to Millbrae... but still, the "classy and timeless" look would boost my climbing abilities I'm sure of it.

^^^ Vitaley, you look pretty slim in your photos, I thought that size would be just right.
But Hey someone reached out to me by PM that they want these items. I'm so glad.

Those knickers are The Bomb! I'd make a special drive to SF to pick 'em up, but it's gonna be another few years before I fit a sz 30 waist...

Wool knickers, wool knee socks, fingerless wool gloves, wool balaclava, rag wool sweater.
Done many miles on foot, ski and thousands of feet on rope in that bullet-proof costume.
Definitely Rad Trad!

La vieille école, comme Gaston Rubberfoot.
There is also one of me on Moby Dickless left taken by Saint Galen, which shows me in the same cord knickers my sister donated to keep me looking stylish on xc skis, but they were equally cool for climbing.
Wish I knew where they went.

Ah----sigh! The climbing gear of my well-spent youth.
Most of that clothing was sold by Royal Robbins through his Mountain Paraphernalia import/distribution business and of course the fingerless gloves are Millar-mitts.
The original Chouinard crampons are a twin to my pair that I used and abused until the front-points were filed down so much that they barely protruded beyond the front of my Galibier Double boots.
I had Hivernales and I think yours are Makalus?

My first ski "outfit"....wool knickers, with matching jacket and fur collar.
It was the same "outfit" my Dad learned to ski in in the 30s.
My Dad is now 91 and I'm sure it is still in his house somewhere.
I love knickers!

I used to wear that very costume. I wore full fingered gloves though.
I also wore Galibier boots. A great boot, imo.

You must be followin' me around--those look like my
crampons and boots too!!!!
(I sold the crampons for the Royfest down at Todd Gordonville, and sent the boots to Pakistan after the earthquake in 2004)?

I'm cracking up that you guys have confused me with the owner and user of this equipment! Moi - the one who whines when the temps go below 60? The one who needs a 28 foot RV as a bivy?
All this gear belongs to my beloved, who wore them ice climbing and alpine climbing in NH, CO, WY, and Alaska. He's the one made of of the tuff stuff, not me.
