Roger, I would add Kim kept climbing very seriously after the Sixties and Seventies. Uli Biaho was late 1979, for example. He lives in Jackson Hole, WY area and though battered thoroughly by any manner of adversities, still is present and among us. Hopefully he will post up for us here.
Kim and I climbed quite a bit in the beginning of the Seventies. We did a pile of free climbs, and fast too. He and I have been in touch some in the last several years. Maybe he will be post an update. There were many of us who loved him!

If a bad ass shows up does that mean a troll leaves?
Wouldn't that be nice. Hmm.. not sure where I fit in to that equation.
Anyways.. Welcome!

Yikes, I haven't been stared down by those eyes since he was working on Zenith with Bridwell in 78? Boy that was a scary and exciting time in the valley for a young pup.
I got up the Direct on Half Dome that fall, but I was in awe of those guys.
Welcome Kim!

Nice timing Roger!
I just sent Kim an email to see if he would like to come and join us at the Oakdale Festival, catch up with some old friends and talk about free climbing.
I hope that he says yes!

One of the really great personalities of the late 60's-70's.
Quiet, modest, but always positive.
"Yeah! Sure, you guys can do that route."
I heard stories that he lived on just pop corn for days at a time.

It seems you kept some (and provided some) pretty good company and you don't rush into things.

Kim, are you back in PDX these days?
Folks here would sure love it if you could ever put together any Beacon Rock tales or remembrances. If you are here then Jeff Thomas has been archivist at the Mazamas for awhile and I'm guessing he would surely love to sit down with you and record any stories you might have to tell.
