Zip, was she 23? I've dated quite a few and they're all like that dog in that Pixar movie.
"Squirrel."
At least you got a text. I normally find out that I lost my turn when I see them at the bar with some other dork.

My ex(wife) got the mid-life crisis blues and showed up one afternoon driving a 1990 Carrera 4 that she bought with a 2nd taken out on our mortgage. Long story short, that baby needed a lot of expensive work at the local Porsche mechanic, she was spending a lot of time there....left me for the mechanic.

p.s. The car and the relationship only lasted about another 4 or 5 months.

nope not 23. she was old enough to know better.
i have heard in small town resort type transient environments that you never really lose your girlfriend, you just lose your turn.

One girl told me she loved me and got engaged to another guy in the same week. That was weird.

She texted me a month after the wedding to say sorry. Ha!

Asked a chick to be my girlfriend after about 3 months of hanging out and bangin', then she disappeared.

I found out she broke up with me by getting knocked up by another dude.

Being a parent to a tween and teen has illustrated that all relationships are now formed and ended via text an/or Instagram.

Face to face dumping is for old folks.

Got dumped one time while spending the week at Smith Rocks. As I was recounting the story to my partner, Scott Franklin overheard it and said "Dude, you don't need that. There's way more fish in the sea".

I was expecting another nice evening. I got the usual warm welcome and all that.

She made us some food and we sat down at the table. Then she looked up and said, in a level and certain voice "I really like you, but the problem is that when I look you in the eyes I can tell that you are not sane."

There was something in the way she said it, I knew I was toast.

I once got the word from my MOM, who told me she saw my gal riding "close" in some other guys big 4x4.

All I had was a beat down 63 Nova.....

Had gone out a few times, I was really starting to dig her, we had made plans for the next night, I had to push it back a few hours so called her...

Was greeted by a ranting PSYCHO, hollering at me to leave her alone, stop stalking her, etc.

Found out later (from her roommate whom I vaguely knew) that her on-again / off-again / "ex" was over, and I was just being used as a jealousy-inducer, to prove to HIM how desirable SHE was.

Good riddance there, and good luck to him! It did sting at the time, though - her behavior seemed totally irrational compared to how she was on our few dates - especially since her accusations re: stalking were totally BS.

That's a good one Crag. From some of the stories you told me when I met you about of the FAs you guys did around June Lake back in the day, I would say she "was" right.
Can't say I have any dump stories that compare to the ones here so far.

I've never been "ghetto" dumped before but was at a tech company after the bubble burst that escorted everyone out via armed guards... That felt pretty ghetto.

Stood up Christmas Eve at the restaurant that we both worked at....while I was pregnant with his child. All of our coworkers and firends watched me sit there, waiting for him. Happy Holidays!! Hope you like your present.
