Alas I am not proficient enough to drag my kids up the big stone. I have dragged my kids up Whitehorse. I was SOOOO happy when my son visited a few years ago and asked if I would torture him, just like I did when he was little. So I brought him and his littlest sister up Beacon Rock.
If you take me up, I'll adopt you so we can be the first mother/child combo...
I climbed on Jeremy's mom but that is a different story. Also it is not the Jeremy's mom talked about on this forum. My old climbing buddy, Jeremy had a hot mom and you know how it goes. Sometimes stuff happens.
Joking aside a mom/daughter ascent would be super cool.
This was not a full ascent, but this 2000 photo by Tom Evans shows a mom (at age 51, in her first wall experience) belaying her son (at age 18) while he was fixing on Lurking Fear. By the way, as an inspiration for other oldsters, she continues to climb.
Moms are quite used to carrying tons of gear for their kids - even when they are full grown adults!!! We dragged toys and food for kids to the cliff, multiple pairs of skis to the ski hill, teants and food for backpacking, .......if you can't carry a load, you can't be a mom.
