Looking to buy something in the south orange county area (Lake Forest or there about). I've bought the NOLA books, but my eyes glaze over and I fall asleep after a page or two. I need the readers digest version on the home buying process.

At this time I'm looking for info on getting the best financing set up and then work from there.

Probably looking for a decent condo or townhouse. I'm single and don't really want to get into the interest debt for a $550k single family dwelling.
