Just imagine where can you hide? You've gone to Woodstock XXX and there seems to be a crazy there with a 1000 round clip attached to his semi auto and he is spinning in circles shooting. The lights are out but his barrel now has a dull red glow. While there is little chance of banning big clips or even getting the measure to the US Senate Floor you still can do something by speaking you mind to your US Senator before they vote on the gun restriction bill.

Call the Capital at 202 224 3121 and tell what state your from and they will connect you with one of your Senators.

Tell the MAN you want thorough & substantial background checks on any firearm sale/purchase.

Oh crap I should have read your directions better....

I reminded them of the DOI which says they rule at the consent of the governed and I give no such consent of the State being in my life whatsoever. What I own and how many rounds I have is only my households business. If guns or 100,000 round clips cause crime then mine are faulty.

Hunter only needed one round, or........there is a strong conspiracy theory that Thompson was dispatched because he was about to publish an impassioned plea to repeal the Second Amendment.

I agree. Guns don't kill people. People kill people. Money kills people. I don't own a single gun, nor have i ever had much opportunity to shoot one. Why not focus on the societal ills that caused these mass murders rather than the weapons of choice.

Ban money. It is the real root of all evil.

Ban government. They kill people, without even giving them the decency of a trial. You better hope you don't get labled a terrorist, or you're next.

Who's a terrorist? Anyone the government says.

"There is a strong conspiracy theory that Thompson was dispatched because he was about to publish an impassioned plea to repeal the Second Amendment."

"The night before his death, Hunter told a friend:
"They're gonna make it look like suicide" "I know how those bastards think.""

It was said that he had evidence and was outing the governments involvement in 9/11 after having already outed the CIA's undercover drug importing to fund covert ops. Which do you think more likely, that or that the gov't offed him? I have no idea, but I think if you read the book "An Act of State: The Execution of Martin Luther King " the facts are clear that King was killed via a conspiracy and that not only are his murderers still at large as proven in a court of law, but they are likely to have been government agents. http://www.amazon.com/An-Act-State-Execution-Updated/dp/B005B1KZBC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1364184664&sr=8-1&keywords=pepper+martin+luther+king

follow up info on the Thompson death from : http://www.thompsonmurder.com/

"Was Hunter S. Thompson suicided?

Paul William Roberts of the Toronto Globe & Mail is another journalist, and a friend of Hunter's, who also questions the official story of 9/11.

Here you can hear him speak with Alex Jones on the final days of Hunter S. Thompson.
http://dl.prisonplanet.tv/members/audio/090305thompson.htm

Roberts wrote a story for The Globe & Mail up in Canada where he talked about Hunter S. Thompson before he died mysteriously a few weeks ago, saying he believed the government may have been involved in 9/11, and he was concerned.

"Hunter telephoned me on Feb. 19, the night before his death. He sounded scared. It wasn't always easy to understand what he said, particularly over the phone, he mumbled, yet when there was something he really wanted you to understand, you did. He'd been working on a story about the World Trade Center attacks and had stumbled across what he felt was hard evidence showing the towers had been brought down not by the airplanes that flew into them but by explosive charges set off in their foundations. Now he thought someone was out to stop him publishing it: "They're gonna make it look like suicide," he said. "I know how these bastards think . . ."

Paul William Roberts, Columnist, Toronto Globe and Mail
Thompson was working on two sensitive stories,
one about bombs being the cause of the twin towers' collapse,
and the other about a White House reporter using a false name."

"HARD EVIDENCE" Jim. Given his ties to some of the CIA folks, don't ya wonder? And folks like Dingus want us all to disarm in the face of ever growing goverment power. It's creeping incrementation, having a limit on "clips" is a first step along with the gov't getting a database up and full -I'm not interested in either. Hell, your President is already killing unarmed US citizens without trial. The homeland security folks announced last week that they are monitoring all emails (they already do all phone calls). The Pentagon alone has stated that they have in current employ over 28,000 employees who's only job is to convince us our government and all that our military does is the most right and honorable things ever, and that number of folks doesn't include all the millions of $ of outside PR work they hire out to convince you that they all have halos like angels. This is the direction anyone wants the country to go?

Report of HST's final moments. http://www.greatreporter.com/content/hunter-s-thompson-got-goons It says that he was on the phone to his wife in good spirits when he was shot and she heard a thump....not a shot. No suicide note.
"They're gonna make it look like suicide" "I know how those bastards think."

....and here we all sit as it all goes down.

You can trust them Dingus, power doesn't corrupt and absolute power means nothing. NOT. http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2009/02/27000-work-in-p/
That was in 2009.

Big Mike,

All of what you list I suppose are causes for crazies and there must be many more. Even if we did ban all forms of action that lead to crazies there still would be the current results on the street of those not banned by elimination of causes.

By rational thinking it is the combination of the loaded gun and the trigger puller that result in killings. It is the intersection of these two events that results in a smoking gun and neither of them alone is sufficient to get a mass murdering.

Your problem solving is like to trying to solve the problem from the other end. Namely ELIMINATE all probable causes in the long chain of causal connections.

Here is a form of your line of thinking: Let's remove all targets as they are the cause of where the shooter aims. So if you are not carrying a gun commit suicide as you may be a target.

Please note carefully: I am not suggesting banning anything. You need to take a test to drive legally. You Fail and you don't get a permit.

I agree with testing. Open sales is silly. I agree with that. I am just saying if more attention were paid to people and their ills, maybe they wouldn't end up in the position where they feel this is their only out.

300 million guns is the societal ill.

Is it? Or is it a legacy from your founding fathers who feared tyranny from their own government? Isn't that what the second amendment is all about?

Harper just ordered drones to patrol the arctic.

Why???? To protect us from the seals and the polar bears?? I highly doubt it!!!

What happens when the restrictions don't work? Then you ban arms altogether?

There has never been an invasion of foreign troops on american soil. I wonder why? Could it be because the populace is so well armed??

Big Mike,

you seem to paint a silly picture for your question.

The Answer: They do not need to invade any more to get a devastating effect. Just hijacked 4 air planes with four or more crazies on board. to wit 911.

No invasion of US soil? You haven't heard of the War of 1812?
And didn't Pancho Villa invade, if briefly?
