My favorite place on earth.....so far
Was just there for a short trip. Had a great time. Was way to short. Always to short. Just when you start to feel good, it's time to go
Just missed the sushi-fest...what a tease
I wanna be there.

Wow Supercrack has changed. The edges used to be really defined almost sharp. They look all rounded and chipped now. In autumn 76 I was in the Moab area with Greg Davis. We bumped into Jimmy Dunn and maybe Billy Westbay, can't remember who was with him for certain. Anyway they had just done Supercrack and told us of this unbelievalble crack that looked like an architect designed it because it was perfect. I think they heard about it from Ed Webster or Earl Wiggins. So we went down to IC and had a look. Sure enough crack perfection. We had to go back to Moab to borrow some more #9 and #10 hexes, we did'nt have enough pro to do it. We had NO cams, did not trust them yet. Then we went back and did it. We flipped for the lead and I won the first pitch. Second pitch was fun too. We thought there was no move harder than 5.9 but every move was 5.9. The hardest part was hanging on to place the hexes and getting them to cam in that parallel perfection. Fortunately we did not have to test the pro. After that we became IC regulars. Climbed there alot in spring 77 and 78. No body around much. We only lived about 4 hrs away and would go down mid winter sometimes.

In many pictures, the insides of those cracks seem to be eroding away.

pretty sure clint's last picture is the offwidth on Primrose Dihedrals on Moses tower.
