hey there say, all...

the old post on this, had my book links, that are wrong, now, so i did not want to confuse things...

SAY:
EVERYONE loves a hero... they cheer for folks to get well, to overcome, and get back out there... whether to the greatoutdoors, or, the job, or live, etc...

but--FOLKS forget many times (not saying always, as, there are many loyal folks in these injury-camps, keeping loved one or good buddy, on a trail of hope--and usually NOT a hope to 'be the best you were'... :(

it is a be the 'new best you can be'...
there are not things like 'sheer will power' and extra stamina, to
be chosen to do... many times the injured one WOULD LOVE to do this:

but--the ol' brain will not allow it, :(

THESE heroes many times are forgotten behind closed doors, as years go by, for them just trying TO TALK again... or to touch a loved ones hand,
fighting the hard-line fight, and not much welcomed by the public, as:
they SEEM different... and odd, to the 'self suffient flow' that human-folks so LOVE to be, see, and honor...

so--if you have a good buddy down, or a loved family member..

here is a cheer to keep you going! stay in their corner... be that
LINK for them, to life... a life that may not come back the way it was,
but a life that CAN AT LEAST feel LOVE again...

yep, some heroes are not seem much, but they are their...

as always, i remember bobby model, he fought as hard as his brain LET him... but the body can only take so much...

:(

say a prayer or well wish, for anyone out there, now...
they and their families REALLY NEED IT...

thanks folks...

*here are some links at my http://go.neebeeshaabookway.com
links for seizure awareness site--and WHAT TO DO IF YOU
WITNESS SOMEONE HAVING A SEIZURE... you'd be surprise how many folks do
NOT know what to do... (you do NOT put anything in their mouth!)

there are links to the brain injury site,
and to:

my fictions novel and stories, which would be good reminders to folks, or to pre-teens that do now realize how these things affect real life folks...

god bless... and take care...

*if you want to by'pass my site, here is one link that
SHOULD have any kind of info links needed, for you to learn from:

http://www.biausa.org/
(it's taking forever to load, here, so i hope this is still the
best one, that i used to link to)

And worthy of another.

Helmets help.

It could be you in the chair someday.

So Messed Up Thou Cannot Speaketh

A degree of sensitivity
Result of brain activity
Words can’t tell me
What thee can see
The words won’t come out easily
And if they come out at all from thee
They’re garbled.

How it must feel to agree or disagree
Is an irrelevancy
Whether you agree or disagree is even mooter
But I’m by your side, I’m your rooter
No one could see this better than you
But we are deprived of your point of view
And it’s the world’s loss.

Thou could be Remembrandt in there for all they care.

hey there say, mouse... very well said....

wow, touched my heart and made me cry...

that was the main reason that i wrote those jake-books...

thanks for chipping in...
folks do not really understand what it is like to be:

'set aside' by the world, as the world marches on...

naturally, true, and meant to be, as life is to live, for everyone, everywhere, so then:
by some innocently, and kindly, of course, due to not knowing anyone to help in extra ways, and already helping loved ones learn to live...
or having none of these situations that beckon them...

yet, sadly, at TOO MANY times by others:

just too busy for anything to 'slow them down'... or
'steal their time'... or remind them: that THEY too, are fragile...

Alas, sometimes time is not our own to use
To ourselves is left the course to choose.

Awareness is as awareness does
If in the future it is your cuz
Sitting helpless to convey
What it is he'd like to say
You may the better to prepare
By trying to become aware
Of what silence means to those who suffer it.

hey there say, ... sorry a bit late...

here is a bump...

:)

and very sadly, yes:
many head injuries, DO lead to seizures, even up to YEARS down the road...
and many times, folks that have HAD these injuries, are not told this...

HOWEVER over the years, now, this may have changed...

hug a friend today...

you have NO IDEA how very very HARD AND STRANGE the road back, to recovery IS, after brain injuries... unless, perhaps:

you have known a loved one, or friend, that has had one...

sadly, life as one knew it, CAN AND DOES, 'go out the window'...
it is a whole NEW world...

again, BE THERE for those that you know, that have had to go through this...

too many times, their friends gradually 'float' away, onward to all the freedom that life offers, that the injured one, can not always tackle...

there is nothing better than to UPLIFT A FRIEND and be PART OF THEIR NEW WORLD in anyway that you can...

read, learn and make an effort, :)
do not be 'too busy' for them, or their new needs...

they may not seem to 'be the same' but deep in side,
THEY ARE STILL--THEM!!!

A VERY VERY GOOD LINK:

http://www.biausa.org/

quote from the above link:

Brain injury is not an event or an outcome. It is the start of a misdiagnosed, misunderstood, under-funded neurological disease. People who sustain brain injuries must have timely access to expert trauma care, specialized rehabilitation, lifelong disease management, and individualized services and supports in order to live healthy, independent, and satisfying lives.

BIAA's mission is to advance brain injury prevention, research, treatment, and education and to improve the quality of life for all people affected by brain injury. We are dedicated to increasing access to quality health care and raising awareness and understanding of brain injury. With a network of state affiliates, local chapters, and support groups, we are the voice of brain injury.
