So after an 80 hr work week prepping my gym for a USAC comp it was time to take the kids out for some quality time. Plus my wife has never been to Pinns and I can't count the number of times I've been there, and I was there both Sat. and Sun. last weekend and I am planning on going next weekend... consistency, you get the idea. We drove down to the West side and did a little exploring (and before the safety police sit up straight in their armchairs to bemoan the lack of helmets I humbling beg your forgiveness... actually thats a lie, I simply forgot them and the world didn't actually end and the kids are safe and I will remember them next time...). Enjoy:
my 3 yr old grunts like Sharma...
for people of a certain height the bouldering at Pinns can be quite good...
made mom nervous, but he was sure footed as a mnt. goat kid...
may have only been 20 feet, but for him thats like septuple overhead!
We set a rope on the 5.5 to the right of Passion Play, this is the low formation right on the creek below Hummingbird Spire and across from the Elephant. Excellent low key climbing for the kids. It was my sons first time climbing outside.
