Plans ... will begin with construction of a tortoise fence around the property to prevent tortoises from moving into the area. I wish I had thought of that. Damn tortoises.

29 Stumps makes way more sense, Marines (and their spouses) have plenty of disposable income to piss away. Some civilized camping with cheap eats? I doubt I will be hitting it, but it could be pretty popular with those who want the all the amenities.

I work about 1/2 mile away;.....they are already ripping up the desert building fences and digging water lines and trenches for pipes.....over by the base of indian head in 29 palms..

There's nothing worse than a tortoise with a gambling problem!
I know.. It's always so sad to watch them try to pull down the arm on the slot machines with those short little arms.
