peace is ot, dammit.
takin the ot cheeese outta
the main forum is
virtuously sucking the golden center
right outta the edible egg;
the yolk, she's got all the fatty cholestrols
and blood stains and she's pretty much
the next generation in gestation,
so tomorrows won't get pregnant
of todays youthful punks
if we take the piece out of
the resistance.

Weege, just say it man. No need for obfuscation. I like your poetry but some things need to be very clear.

*slurp*
I'll try to get this right the first time.
I think it's a true story.

A TALL TALE?
There’s this giant formation nearly in downtown Colorado Springs...there are several, in fact. One’s called North Gateway, got a couple famous routes on it. One’s this 11+ called Anaconda.
You can’t really hike around the formation, cuz at the base of this route the ground drops off; so you gotta hike back down and around.
But there’s this chimney, which if you climb down it, will take a lot of distance off your trip
Back then I had the climb wired. and the anchors were offset enough that you could TR another unbolted route to its left
i take a couple recent friends who are interested in climbing out one late afternoon just to look at the place and I suggest we climb down the chimney and proceed around the formation.
I go first but before I know it this small ledge I was using for a foot blows out and I’m falling.
I remember thinking as I went, "Better get your feet under you." Didn’t have time to do it, just to think it
The bottom of the chimney is a rocky gully and I go flying down it. It had steps to it and I remember flying over one and watching the blue of the sky completely rotate past my view...whoosh!
Finally came to a stop...just lay there. One of the guys yells down to me, "We’re not going to come down that way! Okay?"
heh...
Aside from all the road rash, the worse was that I’d ripped a finger tip’s skip off...it was just there hanging turned inside out.
I managed to get up and make it back to the car. got back to my apartment and the roomate looks at me and asks about WTF happened. I lay down and couldn’t hardly move for a couple days.
Went back later just to check it out and figure I musta tumbled nearly 40’ down that gully.
Okay. So years go by and I’m working construction in the midwest. I got hired by Jimmy Dunn, the climber. (That’s several other stories.)
But I’m still thinking about this place and that fall. So, driving through C.S., I turn off and walk up to the base of that chimney. It’s been nearly 10 years and I’m curious to see what it really looks like in contrast to the memories I had.
There is about 2” of wet snow on the ground; and just right of this chimney is a broad buttress which looks like easy climbing, so i head up it.
But there’s snow on it, and it’s in the shade and it turns dicey and i paused in the middle to pull myself together. Cuz it was serious; and I just looked around and thought "This spot almost killed me years ago...and here I’ve come back and given it another easy shot at me. "
Sucked it up, wiped the icy snow off the holds, finished the climb, walked away.
But just barely.
Edit: Pieces of nine. Arrgh!

You got me Larry. Socks and sandals aren't a fashion statement. If your feet felt like mine, you might make the same mistake.
Peace out? I don't know what the original meaning was intended to be but i have adopted it to my meaning of the peace within projecting out into a world devoid of it's practice.

So, according to Eds first link, I read that the meaning is ambiguous and depends on context. Cool.
I wish to say when I use that term I mean what I said before up-thread.
Use it as you wish, and see what you get.
