Well the park is not know for rock, which is rather chossey but can have some great ice. "Wildcat" is 90'not bad for the lower 48. We have plenty of great rock here in SoIl, Starved Rock is about 100 miles south of Chicago.

yeah sure looks like Ohio River valley-ish sandstone fall and pool.
Road cuts used to form when I was in school in Bloomington, however those were limestone. The sandstone is further south. There are bluffs of that stuff everywhere with varying quality.
