The Half Dome thread got me thinking about how I would really like
to see some pics of some of those seldom or lesser done wall routes..
We see alot of El Cap shots .. Got any of the seldom seen ? Half Dome ,
Watkins , Quarter Dome , maybe W.F. Sentinel ?

Love to see 'em !

I need to get my shiite together n scan some slides

See what photos do for a thread?

That's some tremendously radical attitude, too. What approach march?

You know Fitschen and Pratt went to climb Angel Wings and left without touching it. They vastly underestimated its height and took far too little gear, so they just bagged it and left, never to come back...

Andy Cox died on the walk in to Tehipite in '72.

walleye,ec .....thank you ! awesome to see that stuff !

part of my intentions on this thread was inspiration , I want to do
a wall this next season and it's gonna be off the beaten path, with
a remote vibe to it.

Walleye...where's that ?

Only a few hundred feet tall, but it's up in the sky and obscure with a capital O, so it's here...

Is Abraxas in 77 obscure enough?

How about the 2nd ascent of Soft Shoe Ballet?

EC's pics (and the rest) almost make me want to learn to climb walls. Almost. The grade V and VI routes on this guy don't get climbed much either. Took this pic yesterday.

Here's another wall with easy access

This one's a little harder to get to

Great pics going on here.

Alik, last time I was up near the Geek I was looking at those starting cracks and noticed about three pieces of bail gear, maybe 50 ft off the ground. Wondered if that was an established route, start of Freestone, or what. Looks wild, by your excellent pics.

limpingcrab...

I have almost EXACTLY the same pics of Homer's Nose and the Watchtower but taken in about 1977.

I went up about three pitches on the Watchtower that winter SOLO... What a dumb kid I was!
