I absolutely DON'T understand US politricks. Seems to me like it doesn't matter who you elect; the poor get poorer, the wealthy more rich and the Chinese sell you junk at Walmart.
Read an article in Nat GEo about the disappearing towns in the Arkansas delta. Heard a piece on the CBC about homeless people in Vegas. All ghastly stuff; reminds me of the stories my folks told me 'bout the "dirty thirties". Of course the first men who volunteered for service overseas were the fellas "riding the rods". My dad said those guys were cannon fodder.
What about some great and positive stories of communities who are pulling together and trying to make their stuff work ?
I"m sure you guys have some.

This is it, in a nutshell... I enjoy the troll threads because i laugh at them too, but i just don't find that politard stuff funny because i feel more like crying than laughing when i talk about it...

The reason all those North American jobs are in China is because leveraged buyout dorks like Romney were able to procede thanks to Reagan's enthusiasm for deregulation.

Russ your side seems to want to argue why it's ok for women to be raped and still carry the baby to term; why it's ok for greed and selfishness to continue for perpetuity; why it's ok to defoul our environment for the sake of a few profiting off of it.
In case you missed it the market's were deregulated allowing the financial meltdown to occur--not once have I read a post of yours condemning this fiasco or the people who orchestrated it. I understand your home and possessions are most likely paid off (due to your hard work) and your niche business must be doing well (due to your hard work). Do you not care about others? Will your business continue to be successful competing with the chinese (or do you already manufacture there?).
When a woman is raped I don't side with the rapist.
When I hear/see a racist I don't agree with them.
When someone is a thief (legally or not) I don't condone it.
When I see someone litter I let them know I don't approve (I pick it up also).
If you also do these things then we have more in common than climbing and you should let the people in your political spectrum know you disapprove of the policies that support this type of activity. Then we could try to reach agreement on what we disagree on that really matters.
