Many of you have mentors that are more iconic than mine. But, Bluey is where it all started for me and several of my best climbing partners.
Lets hear it, let fly. As Blue would say, "whatever."
Yours truely,
Ez the left liebacker.

Thanks, Ez. Even though you get after it more than me now, you are one of my favorite partners.

Oh, my mentor? He goes by C-dog around here;
Me and him (on the right) on an early deployment to Tuolumne

Thanks, Clark!

I've never had a "Climbing mentor"...
Learned by "trial and error"...
But I HAVE mentored many and will continue to do so as the rewards are generally worth it...
Fun to introduce people to this sh!t...
Fun to watch them learn...
Fun to watch them eventually go out on their own and continue the circle...
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!...

Tom Sullivan was my first "mentor".. Taught me how to run it out, how not to worry and CLIMB. And convinced me to change over to EBs from PAs!!!!!
Others are : Rick Sumner and crew for the AWESOME first big guide to the Tahoe area, thus opening up a WORLD of climbing!
And last but not least, Dano,,Jay Smith, Paul Crawford, Al Swanson and Bill Price for ALWAYS giving us the MARKS to reach for!

Old Woody took us (BSA Troop from N. Hollywood) out once a month to J-Tree back in the early 70's. Showed us the stuff and put the flame in my heart. Swami, PF Flyers and guts.
Thanks Woody!
