The 2 obvious cracks (gullies) to the right of the (visible) cables path - particularly the one closest to the edge.

I spent a good amount of time scrambling around where that snowpatch is. Mostly in the dark. Didn't look very well traveled. falling trekking poles and cell phones would be a major hazard on those routes.

None that I ever knew about and I spent a bit of time over there. Plenty of potential, as is the case throughout the Valley if you look away from the obvious! But I have said enough already...

The North Ridge route is in there somewhere. Topo in the guidebook, but I haven't done it, so I can't pinpoint the location.

No, that is Mount Hunter and those are Mount Hunter routes.

Isn't that where that dude snowboarded from the summit? Maybe he was further north, but he was very close to the edge of the actual face.

Google Half dome snowboard descent to see photos of it. They were in Climbing magazine I think. Looked VERY scarey!
