Hello people.
Still here at smith rock which is awesome and heading to Indian creek now with just 3 weeks left of our trip... So would kindly ask for some camping and climbing beta for the our next destination.
We have an RV and wondered where is the best place for camping, as perhaps some places are a bit hard for an RV there? Also what's the deal with water and the likes?
Finally do you think it will be just stupidly hot there in a week... If so, is it possible to climb in the shade much? As Brits we have absolutely no idea how to properly crack climb so are really going to need to drop our grades but any pointers to classics in the 5.9+ - 5.12+ bracket!?
That's it! Cheers for the info in advance. So far everyone we have met has been awfully friendly and we are rather liking it climbing over here.

I'll be at the Creek starting tomorrow.....camp at Creek Pasture, best for your rig. It won't be too hot. Look for me, white sportsmobile, I'll get you oriented.

Most important - with the gear you brought, you're probably going to need to make friends and climb with other folks in order to climb. There are a few climbs that take only doubles or triples in cam sizes, but those are the exceptions. But don't let this stop you - many people pool gear to climb at the Creek. It's understood that non-locals won't have a massive gear rack.
So be friendly and social, and have a blast. The place is world class, and a truly beautiful and unique experience.

Creek Pasture campground for your RV.
Bring water with you. Stop at Gearheads in Moab to fill up on their free filtered water. Lots of shady climbing to be had. Enjoy!!!

Wow. Just think what grade you'll do when you can properly crack climb!

Brilliant that's great everyone. See you there, our double set of small cams is certainly not going to be enough :) white RV with leprechaun on the side and two Brits. Roll on next weekend!

Look for sn American Alpine Club banner and my white sportsmobile camper at the back part of Creek Pasture. We are doing a volunteer day with the BLM on saturday the 13th. If you put in a little work that day you'll meet tons of climbers with a zillion cams and get a free bison burger dinner that night. I am also conducting free crack climbing clinics on sunday the 14th.
