I drift away from Supertopo, often for long stretches. And then back. My return is always because there is something or someone very particular that draws me, strong, despite all.
Today, it is Norwegian. His perspective is always breathtaking, his half-poetic prose always playful. He can merge the profound and the mundane, as he digs under the surface like his beetles in a log. He inspires. I can't begin to praise him properly with my own stumbling typing.
In many ways Norwegian shines brighter than all the many bright stars here. Here's to you, Norwegian, may you shine bright, easy, and long!
Cheers! (and I'm not even drinking, just drunk on life)

Norwegian is well connected. For øvrig er det en del blinde gærninger creating a lot of beautiful noise... Lol...

His last post (involving the RV and the suspended tree) was particularly good. Almost all of his contributions are full value.

Ahh the weeg. He's a poet and he knows it. The only poster on ST whose posts i consistently have to read twice just to get a glimpse of what he is saying.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
Tell us, does he speak in prose also? ;)

Norwegian is our poet laureate, a true iconoclast, a great father, hard worker, and a great host.
He gave Skip and I a place to park our trailer for three days at Lover's Leap during our recent trip, and even took some time out of his busy schedule to lead us up Fantasia, a classic climb.
We appreciate Norwegian!

Somehow I don't think Largo got it.

Mine post was a joke. I always read the Norwegian's poetry, all 100 proof of it.

I "got" Largo's post. I'm odd maybe.
Weeg is a great guy. He adds a really cool dimension to this group of characters!

Huge fan of his many and varied contributions. Some of his prose goes over my head, but regardless of whether i "get it" or not, it always has a unique aura of words crafted by a gifted and kind spirit.
So, for the Nowegian cat, some prose that goes over my head, but I still dig the images...and, oh, that riff...skol!
Look for a while at the China Cat Sunflower
proud-walking jingle in the midnight sun
Copper-dome bodhi drip a silver kimono
like a crazy-quilt star gown
through a dream night wind
China cat
Krazy Kat peeking through a lace bandana
like a one-eyed Cheshire
like a diamond-eyed jack
A leaf of all colors plays
a golden string fiddle
to a double-e waterfall over my back
Comic book colors on a violin river
crying Leonardo words
from out a silk trombone
I rang a silent bell
beneath a shower of pearls
in the eagle winged palace
of the queen Chinee

Norwegian gets my vote. Once in a while the poems seem to originate from a kind of suicidal drinking binge. But hey, no problem, I guess all art is born of suffering.
