Some of the best footage I've ever seen for being: on route El Capitan. The euro segments wouldn't really work for an american audience, but it's understood you are sharing the film in the context it was created for. Amazing accomplishment climb-wise, and film-wise.

Thanks,
if you are referring to the images of the Alps and free climbing, they rebuild two of my dreams that I've had on the wall at that time :)

Yeah. It kind of reminds me of El Capitan by Glen Denny.
I remember Brad Jarrett telling me a story about the FA.
All he brought for food was almond butter and some rancid celery. It was his lead. Half way through the pitch his ass is about to explode, so he drops trou right there and lets the mud falcons fly. He said the look of horror on his partners face was the funnest thing he'd ever saw. True hardman.

I really liked the sections showing Tom hooking, I always wondered how you kept the hook in place ; you hitch a hammer to it, and showing him using a chisel to place the heads.

Enjoyed watching this very much. I have never been on a big wall but hope to get there some day, videos like this keep the inspiration alive. Great footage. TFPU

OK, the link worked today...
Mad. And most excellent. Best big wall flick I've seen, really gives the feeling of what it's all about. Bitchen dream sequence. And that far-away look during the lens cap caper--sums it all up for me. Beautiful.

Nicely done! One of the best videos I have seen that fully depicts the ardor & ecstacy of big wall climbing.
Man that route has some steep pitches! Super cool.

Wow, very well done! That's some of the coolest El Cap segments I've ever seen. Looks like a pretty technical route with lots of air. Great job!

About 2 years ago I went to a film/slide show at Vertical Hold here in SD that was held as part of the Woodson Shindig and I remember Bridwell put on a French or Italian produced climbing film about him climbing stuff in the Valley that was made in the 80s or something. Anyone know what the film I'm talking about is? I don't remember the name, but had some great footage similar to this.
Getting that on something like Vimeo would be great. as I recall Jim said the film was never made available for sale here in the U.S.
Sorry for the thread drift
