It's National Doughnut Day
Friday is the day America celebrates the doughnut.
National Doughnut Day originated with the The Salvation Army in Chicago in 1938 as a salute to the women who served doughnuts to U.S. soldiers during World War I.
Jeff, I was thinking maybe I shouldn't expose the true reason for your love of doughnuts, but maybe it's time you came out and let the world know the truth: You love doughnuts because shopping for doughnuts lets you rub elbows with your hero.
That would be this guy, who is seen here buying a doughnut at the shop around the corner from my office...
A truly Homeric photo; dohn't ask me what I mean. But were one to see the similarities between words and photos as I do, you'd get the picture. This obviously takes the cake. It says it all with the symbol of nothing.
Reminds me of the novel, The Unbearable Lightness of Being Without a Sinker, by Flakey Tex McBoot, the winner of the Charlie Sheen Winner Award (first annual).
