Ahh! you do know where it is. I haven't talked to Pat yet, my buddy is trying to put us in touch. Ken K? I'm missing him Munge. Route was bitchin' 8 pitches w/ a 500ft simulclimb to summit.

Alright, What Ridge?

It is Mr. Thompson... Screams at you while driving Whitney Portal Road. Which Ridge? Only Three.

Hmmm, this is exactly what we were thinking. There must be potential for thousands of new routes up there... There must be a few hidden Hulks lurking above Whitney Portal.

Donald Thompson, thanks for using my photo of the East Ridge and crediting yourself for it. Not too cool IMO.

I climbed the NE ridge in August a couple years ago. Took 2 days and we had to carry our water. A great climb that I would like to do again someday. I think this image shows the top of the formation. It looks like I had to tilt the camera to fit it in the image.

Where did you find this un-named photo? On SummitPost in Lone Pine Peak conversation? This photo appears nowhere else. All my photos, like everyone else's have credit on them. It is a common Internet curtesy to state who took the photo, here on ST it gets done that way everyday. I might be a tight ass, but you are rude and inconsiderate. Please change your way and give credit to those who actually did the work.

Chill out. That picture of LPP may be one of the most generic and most-taken pictures of the Sierras - there are 1,000 others just like it all over the internet... Your pic has an arrow on it - I guess you deserve credit for that.

Try and be more stoked about long new routes going up

Myles, sorry, I did not notice the yellow line at first. Saw it as soon as BIOTCH pointed it out. Thank you.

It is nice to give credit to people that take photos. I honestly did not like it when someone used my photo and gave self the credit...

Myles, you're a poo-poo head.

edit: I usually give photo credits as a habit, but unless someone was claiming credit for my pictures deliberately (unique ones, not generic day mountain photos or butt-shots), or selling them, I could really care less.

The Supertopo picture feature indeed automatically gives credit to whoever uploads it, so unless you write a caption saying where you got it, it might look like you're giving yourself credit for taking the picture.

Hear that, DT? Just 'cuz everybody does it in our beloved polititard threads doesn't mean it's acceptable....
