I was sad Amy Winehouse passed on because she had R+B soul in her soul. Perry sent me this link of the Trucks - Tedeschi Band and I have played it every day because it's beautiful:

Please slather this thread with Warren Haynes, Drive By Truckers, Nashvile Pussy and anyone else you can think of !

goin' to see Tedeschi-Trucks in two days -- at one of my fave venues, to link with another front-page thread -- I love how the band (and it is a sizable one, at that) just cooks on Bound for Glory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-J0WpHXWHM

This is a pretty slow thing, no pyrotechnical guitar shredding, but it's one of the most moving blues songs I've ever heard. (Of course, he can shred when he wants to)

To my ears, the Satellites were the best rockNroll band, southern or otherwise, ever to make it out of a garage. At some point they prepended "Georgia" to their name and their gimmick tune hit the big time for a few minutes. I can't really justify my claim and I'm biased, having more or less learned how to drink while watching them in dive bars. I think maybe you had to be there.

Still, this sounds sort of like it.
