Yep, looking for a dedicated team of five or six ! Mostly for high altitude rope fixing and one or two for "short roped sled work"! The short ropers should be burly.
What: Everest lhotse nuptse traverse and summits.
Details: Short rope sled work consists of hauling me, in the sled, up the pre fixed ropes to each summit. Additional altitude sherpas will ferry oxygen to each belay, camp and summit. All short ropers shall receive a FREE grigri 2!
sponsorships!: ARE AVAILABLE! Yes, you Gan get a three inch by eight inch decal ON THE ACTUAL SLED which will photographed on each summit! Power bar and Omega pacific are already on board, so room will fill fast- it aint that big of a sled! This will be a RECORD breaking ascent on sled, never done before! Dont hesitate to get on board now! Soon, everyone will want to do it! Ive heard rumor IMAX will be there tu!
ps, still looking for a cheap yak or two for the approach to base camps...
pss, also looking for some nice strong seat cushions, preferably inflatible..

I have been collecting beta from the 1996 expedtion members (that survived) so route finding and negotiations are gonna be a bbbrreeeeze!

Actually Ron h.a. sherpas make $500 a day for summitt bids.
its there job.they are quite good at what they do i.e. bringing cracker to the top and back down.not to mention making water, setting up tents, fluffing your bag, digging latrines and/or carrying your poop down.
so i really see no reason that you cant put together a top notch team.
i would like to donate my time and expertise to your endeavor and ive already contacted Cathay Pacific to be our airline sponser(we will fly all the way to base camp) a carbon fiber sled shall be custom made by Specialized to your height? and weight?

Well, that Breashears guy will probably want the best ABC campsites, just like he did for the 1988 Peace Climb, he'll try to kick you out, even if you got there first. Threaten to go to blows like my partner Dean did, he'll likely back down if he doesn't have 7 ft tall Big Jim with him.

You know, ST could be a great place for an intelligent and relevant dialogue on sherpas and high altitude climbing ethics but this approach is demeaning for all and embarassingly not humorous. No wonder that some of the more respected and literate contributors on ST have pulled back in recent months. Fire away.

Guido, if you want to talk ethics try this;1988. four people, kangshung face mt everest. no sherpas. no o2. no frikkin radios even. its called the neverest buttress.

and ron i think this route on everest would be a perfect run for your sled!
plus ive been there so i would know who to bribe and who not to bribe.

it appears to be a VERY stategic line protected from mass avalanche! YOU ARE THE climbing manager of the team now Stewie! Ill call power bar and get them going on your HAT! Good to know there will be an expirienced guy there! The beta ive gathered was in street/touron lingo, so im still fuzzy on that stuff!
