This is a thread to show appreciation to neebee. Mainly because I can't think of anyone else who gives so much positivity into everything that comes from this board. Always there to lend a hand, send some well wishes, and show some love.

Recently during my injury I was laid up with not much to do. Soon after I recieved a card in the mail and then following it I got a dreamcatcher that was personally made with a wonderful story included. All this from someone I have never met and rarely even shared a post with. I am honored to have been part of her giving process and would like to keep it going and pay it forward.

I don't know if neebee would like me giving out her address but I know that some others may have it as well. Let me know if its okay neebee. As I am writing this I am throwing some money in an envelope and sending it out to her. Its not much as I am also poor but I still have the internet!

The money I am sending isn't because I feel like I owe her anything its because I want her to be able to continue making so many people feel so wonderful.

So thanks a bunch neebee! Keep on giving!

P.S. If anyone else wants to help join on in, No amount of kindess is ever wasted, no matter how small.

I'm picturing a big glass jar sitting on a picnic table in Yellowpines about a month from now stuffed full of donations to get Neebee a decent computer.

Windows 95 - criminy that's scary!

Four or five Franklins worth of spare change should set her up and get her back in the spreading fairy dust biz.

All hail neebee the gem!

She sent my mom a dreamcatcher in the hospital.

And cards.

And then a shawl.

She's priceless. Yes, a computer would be a great idea!

Lets hear it for neebee! Back in late April when I was all cracked up and battered in the hospital, she took the time to send me a lovely and heartfelt e-mail wishing me a speedy recovery. This is a very lovely person who deserves recognition, and if a few of my dollars will help get her a better computer, I'm ready to chip in!

Let's set up a "Get neebee a computer" fund.

A great idea but first a pop quiz.

Which of the following two purchases for Neebee is she more apt to like?

1. A computer you selected

2. A set of lingerie you selected

Only arguments over rap bolting last longer than arguments over computers.

Myself? I'd bet on the lingerie.

What a Lady!

I read all of her posts. It gives me a glimpse into the term "selfless".

So is there anyone who has a computer for sale that is in good shape and not likely to break soon? I a checking with all my sources to see if there is a good one around.

Laptop or Desktop?

Glad that the idea has found some traction. A thought - the challenge may include hardware (reliable, reasonably modern), software (again, reasonably modern), and some support. Plus a transition to the new system. So there may be a need for a bit of support with those things, which can be hard to do remotely.

I'm still going with the lingerie.

Seriously though we don't know what Neebee needs. If one of the many experts on ST were able to sit down with her they could put a good system together fairly quickly.

As bad as some (I had windows 3.1 inflicted upon me) feel windows is, she apparently is familiar with that system.

If one of us has an old 4 Gig iMac with Word on it they could just loan it to her after setting it up for internet.

That might give her a better idea. Those old iMacs must be worth about $5 now. Anybody got a spare for a bit? I threw one away myself. A G4?

I did not set up for youtube. One can live without youtube.

Barely.

Low End Mac claims you can run early OSX on some early iMacs. Tray load?

That is a super generous offer Cragman. Does that mean we should delete this thread or let it run until Facelift?
