Saw Crimper on saturday...she was the only one to leave a note!
She was climbing well... couldn't tell she ever broke her arm.
I flailed however...I think it was like a 5.10e...

Went by Lockers site about 4 different times but he was never there.

I was there on Sunday.

Here is the full report:

7:55 a.m. Passed locker's car heading west out of Park near Vagmarken Buttress. (Boy was that a close call).

8:02 am: Hit Intersection Parking Area; immediately used toilet facility.

8:05:34 am: Emerge. Scope parking area for signs of any ST types. No sign.

8:10:03 am: Double Cross.

8:15:48 am: See guy giving bunk advice to others trying to climb Dogleg (couldn't tell if they were ST types).

8:16:44 am: Parking lot. Still no sign of ST types.

8:21:33 am: See guy who is heavily pretaped in parking lot. Doesn't look like ST type.

8:25:21 am: Still no ST types.

8:28:53 am: Off climbing. Do not run into any ST types.

4:47:31 pm: Crossroads. No ST Types.

Hey hey hey! J-tree is awesome. I'm sitting in Palm Springs right now. Heading back to San Diego in a hour or so. Mark is a friend's brother -known him a long time. He was not the ONLY person I was climbing with. I left notes where I'd be on both days.

The rock is awesome. Stick to it like velcro. I will say there is not much of me that is not scraped or bruised - Yay! It was great meeting Shack and his daughter. And he was not climbing poorly either. It was a lot of fun. Did run into Crotch at the restaurant - fun fun! And Locker was of course everywhere though we did not climb together at all. Hit a lot of the classic areas/climbs.

I forget/did not know most climb names so please forgive. The things i do recall are:
trashcan rocks - multiple things
uncle fester
fingertip traverse
the banana cracks (the left most one being my favorite climb)
coarse and buggy.
Honestly cant' say I hated anything. It was all great. Wish I could remember what all I did though...

I hope to get back out here for a longer period of time in early 2006. Gnat, I'll let you know so you can avoid me (haha). Maybe some of you will show....

I am waiting on my disk of photos - when i get them, i'll post. i took a special one just for you guys!!

Locker:

Who else from ST was there? I was not trying to avoid anyone. Just did not run into anyone besides Shack, you and Crotch. Luckily Crotch said hello or I wouldn't have know he was there. And happily Shack found us and hung out. Who was avoiding us???

Crimpie

p.s. Mark did not take any of the whacky photos. Part of the silliness was that some 'odd' photos just kept showing up on his camera. poor guy.

Knott directed at you specifically, Locker.

It's just that pictures speak louder than words.

I was feeling a little depressed today.

Suddenly the world looks a whole lot brighter.

Thank you.

I got sidetracked riding both days and I couldn't con another rider into driving 6 hours roundtrip out to Josh. Sounds like I missed out.

Hope to see you next year at that conference, Crimpie. Doesn't sound as though you were short on companions. Figure they were fawning over you like a regular rock star.
