can you help me out? find a lost friend.
this picture was taken in sept 01' at the quite curry "Camp5". i was not able to get a contact number of the man in the far left "eddie aloe". from new paltz.
would you happen to know his email or #?
i had the most fun hanging with all of you guys!
those pitons i bought from you were used we'll. thanks for your advice in the past. look for me and steve"o" at the bottom of this thread.

That looks like Pete on the far right. Is your friend from New Paltz in the center or on the left?

the dude in the center is steve and Eddie is on the left side.

I'm not sure Eddie is his real name, it might be. I know he used to write as Eddie on the Gunks website, so you could probably find him there. I don't recall having any email correspondence with him, but might. I remember him because he talked about putting a signature on his postings, it was something to do with hooks. Something like "dreaming of hooks". He told me how excited he was about his signature, and that he was going to change it next month.

Now Steve, hmmmm. I don't have my Reid guide with me, but conceivably there is a name and contact number or email in it? Steve-O.

I'm not going to find either of these guys in my email, unfortunately, because my email address has changed. I know that photo was taken BITD when I was Curry-based, around 2000, and I've been Village-based ever since.

i've got Steve Kessmen's phone number and we talk regularly. he works in Tahoe and soon to be married. I told him that i would post up our sack pic's.
your the best Pete! maybe i'll run into you this summer!

p.s i've tried with getting steve "O" on line but he is still anti-internet.

Those photos were taken at "Camp 5", the bear boxes in the middle of the Curry Village parking lot. I think I was a bit too vocal on RC.com telling people they could find me there, and it turned into something of a climbers' hangout.

We used to be able to padlock our gear in there, but then they put up signs saying we could no longer do it. I figure I am personally responsible for buggering it up, and no longer write about such things.

After Camp 5, I moved about a hundred yards south and took up residence on the south side of the parking lot, about 75 yards east of the Mountain Shop. [and good ol' Ted]

But I have bitchin'er digs now in Yos. Village. So email me - the McTopo email system works fine - and come by for a beer in May and June, eh?

Tell Steve-O I say hi, and good luck finding Eddie.
