Overview
A cascading waterslide flows into a tranquil pool of water adjacent to these big boulders around the base of Puppy Dome’s south face. Just a short walk from the huge parking lot down a nice trail is all it takes to get to the test-piece of the Tuolumne area, “Thunderbird” (V12/13) and many more classics at almost every grade in between. A few old and new school mantel test-pieces are also found here, along with the mega chill spot next to the river, which on a hot day is also a nice swimming hole.
